Famous Bollywood screenwriter Javed Akhtar celebrated his 80th birthday on Friday. The celebration was attended by Vidya Balan and her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur along with their friends and family. The couple presented the veteran screenwriter with a special customized cake, paying homage to his most iconic films cinder, Wall And prideHighlights? The cake had pictures of popular characters from these great films, but Javed Akhtar’s face was superimposed on them. The message on the cake read, “A man of character.” Javed Akhtar’s wife and veteran actress Shabana Azmi shared a picture of the cake on Instagram and wrote, “Siddharth Roy Kapoor and Vidya Balan gifted Javed on his birthday. Look at the cake carefully. It has Javed’s face in the characters. (sic)”

Bollywood celebs are seen following the themed cake trend. Last year, when Sidharth Malhotra celebrated his birthday, his wife Kiara Advani shared a glimpse of his amazing birthday cake, which had a film-themed design. On a fondant-covered base, one side of the cake was shaped like a film reel strip. The reel wasn’t just painted in black and white – it was intricately designed to showcase some of Sidharth’s leading roles over the years. One frame depicts his first film, student of the yearAbove the reels, a statue of a man surrounded by wires attached to sticks was visible. In the video clip, we can see that the idol can rotate in the centre. Along with the reel, a box of popcorn (made mostly of fondant and other food ingredients) was placed on the base. Earlier, Ananya Pandey had celebrated her 25th birthday with a Bollywood themed cake. In a video shared on her Instagram Stories, the actress is seen cutting a two-tier cake. Along with a movie clapper, the base of the cake featured a film reel strip that looked like Ananya’s film roles over the years. Wondering which flavor?
