    DIY kefir drink recipe: How to make it at home:

    Nutritionist Sakshi Lalwani has shared the recipe.

    You need you required:

    • 1-2 tablespoons kefir grains
    • 2 cups of milk (vegetarian milk also works)

    Step-by-step recipe of kefir drink:

    • Add grains to a clean glass jar.
    • Add milk, leave a little space at the top.
    • Cover the jar with a breathing fabric (muslin, for example) and secure with a rubber band.
    • Leave the jar at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours. Allow the airflow but keep the dust and insects out.
    • Once fermented, stress the kefir using a plastic waterfall in a new container.
    • And you have a fresh and healthy kefir drink that is ready to be ready.

    Pro-Tip: Kefir grains can be reused in the stretner. “Add fresh milk to the grain and repeat the process,” he said.

    Storage Tips:

    – If kept in the fridge, the kefir drink can last for seven days.
    – You can store the grains used in a small jar of milk in a fridge for seven days.
