Kerala style onion vada is exceptionally delicious. The addition of onion makes the vadas more crunchy, perfect to enjoy with a cup of hot evening tea. Curry leaves, green chillies and other spices enhance their taste. Kerala-style onion vada is incredibly easy to make, it only takes a few minutes to make and is ideal for serving guests. How to make Kerala-style onion vada
To make Kerala style onion vada, chop two onions. Place the onion in a bowl. Add two spoons of oil and mix well.
After this, add two spoons of gram flour, one tablespoon of flour and one spoon of rice flour. At this stage, add finely chopped green chillies, curry leaves, 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger, red chilli powder and salt as per taste. Mix everything well.
Now heat oil in a pan. – Make small round vadas from the prepared batter with the help of hands or spoon and fry them in oil on medium flame till they become golden brown and crisp.
Take out all the vadas from the oil and keep them on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Serve them hot with tea or chutney.
