Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has never won the Indian Premier League (IPL). Much to their fans’ disappointment, the star-studded team, including top Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, has not been able to achieve a final victory. However, their hopes of winning IPL 2024 are not over yet. RCB qualified for the playoffs after defeating Chennai Super Kings on 18 May. His followers took to the streets to celebrate and social media is abuzz with his thrilling victory. Indian dairy brand Amul also released a special theme for the occasion.
In the illustration, we see two players wearing RCB jerseys, smiling, hitting their gloves together in joy. One of them looks like Virat Kohli. As usual, Amul added wordplay to the subject, writing, “rc bHi reached the playoffs (RCB also made it to the playoffs”). The brand highlighted Kohli’s role with a witty twist on his name. Below the depiction of the players are the words, “Amul – Kohli at its best!” in the caption. , “#Amul Topical: Royal Challengers Bangalore do the impossible… enter the last four in IPL 2024!”

Amul often shares topical themes to mark important achievements and trending milestones. Many of its images reference cricket. Recently it had published a topic for Ravichandran Ashwin’s 100th Test win. It shows Ashwin in his cricket uniform receiving a memento with his family.
