In our sharp-traditional life, stress, pollution, and poor lifestyle habits take a toll on our health-especially liver, the body’s central detox hub. But what if treatment can start with simple and accessible as your breath?
“Breathing is an inbuilt detox tool,” Dr. Narendra’s Shetty, Chief Wellness Officer, Kshemwana Naturopathy and Wellness Center are called. “It not only removes toxins, but also controls body temperature and improves organ function – especially liver. Breathe by just a few minutes can align your body’s natural rhythm.”
There are four yogic breathing techniques (pranayama) that support liver detox, increase emotional balance, and calm your nervous system.

1. Belly breathing (diaphragm)

This technique involves deep breathing and breathing, allowing the diaphragm to move freely. Dr. “Belly breathing activates the main muscles, improves blood flow, and enhances the function of all major systems,” says Shetty. It is especially useful for people managing diabetes or chronic fatigue.

2. Box breathingbreth for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, and again hold for 4 seconds. “This method is excellent to reduce stress and anxiety,” Dr. Shetty says. It calms the mind and stabilizes your nervous system, making it ideal before sleep or during a stressful day.

3. Confusion

Close your ears with your index fingers, breathe deeply, and exhale a lukewarm “MMM” sound. “This vibration rejuvenates the vital organs and is extremely effective to reduce mental stress,” Dr. Shetty Note.

4. Kapalabhati (skull shining breath)

A dynamic breathing technique that involves deep breathing, followed by quick, powerful breathing. “It is powerful for detoxing, enhancing lung function and supplying oxygen -rich blood to the brain,” he says. However, this should be practiced carefully and avoided in some health conditions.

Tips for practice
Choose a well -ventilated or green outdoor location.
  • Practice on an empty stomach.
  • Keep your spine and neck straight.
  • Close your eyes to increase the focus.
  • Targets for 3-5 rounds, twice daily.
  • Who should avoid them

If you are pregnant, avoid these techniques, recover from high blood pressure, hernia, ulcers, epilepsy, or recent surgery.

Including these breathing methods can perform miracles-only for your liver, but also for your emotional good, immunity and skin health. As Dr. Shetty says: “Breathing is the first step towards the right healing right.”
