Earlier at the Tokyo Olympics, he won the gold medal with a throw of 87.58m and became India’s first track and field athlete to win gold at the Olympic level.
Chopra is the only Indian athlete to have won a gold and a silver medal at the Olympics. While three other Indian athletes (post-independence) have won two Olympic medals, Neeraj is the only athlete to have won a second medal after winning a gold medal.

Diet plan of Neeraj Chopra
Breakfast
For breakfast, Chopra eats fruits, yogurt, oats, three to four egg whites, omelette and two pieces of bread. Along with this, he eats some dry fruits and drinks juice or coconut water.

For lunch, the star javelin star eats curd with rice. Apart from this, he also eats pulses, vegetables, grilled chicken and salad.
Breakfast
For breakfast, Chopra likes to have chia seeds, dry fruits and bananas along with juice or coconut water.

For dinner he usually eats soup, boiled vegetables, salad, fruits and other protein-rich foods.

Snack after dinner consists of milk, dates and sometimes jaggery.
In an interview, Chopra also revealed his food preferences. When the interviewer asked him if he is a vegetarian, he revealed that he has started eating non-vegetarian food. “I was a vegetarian, but suddenly I started losing weight. My physical activity was the same as before, but my diet reduced. That’s when people around me told me that I should eat (non-vegetarian food).”
Chopra said that he would continue to eat a non-vegetarian diet as long as he is playing. However, he would like to switch to a vegetarian diet once he stops playing.
Talking about supplements, Chopra said that he takes supplements according to what his body needs. He chooses between vitamin D and C and protein depending on the requirement. “Depending on the situation, I drink 1-2 protein shakes a day. Usually one, but if I am training heavily, I take 2 (protein shakes a day).”
Chopra also shared his protein preferences in the interview. He said he eats fish, eggs, chicken or paneer. Sometimes he also adds tofu to his salad.

Chopra’s training involves extensive work with medicine balls and he focuses heavily on strength training, especially for his arms and elbows. He also does cable pull exercises that target the shoulders, elbows and arm muscles. To strengthen his shoulders, Chopra also does front and side lifts with dumbbells.
