After a gap of four years, North Korea According to reports, the country is set to welcome international tourists again. The reclusive country, known for its strict isolation, has finally decided to reopen its borders, giving adventurous travellers the opportunity to experience one of the world’s most mysterious destinations.
Al Jazeera quoted Beijing-based Koryo Tours as saying that the company announced on its website that North Korea would welcome tourists to the northeastern city. Companions and possibly “to the rest of the country” in December 2024. “After waiting more than four years to make this announcement, Koryo Tours is very excited about the opening up of North Korean tourism once again,” the operator said.

North Korea, which has closed its borders since 2020, recently allowed in about 100 Russian tourists who were travelling from Vladivostok on a North Korean-owned Air Koryo plane.
