With its new place in the Golf Course Road, the One8 Commune is here to provide a good culinary experience.

Summary AI is born, the news room has been reviewed.
The food scene of Gurgaon always resonates, new restaurants open every other week, each of which brings its vibe to each. One of the new additions is One8 Commune, which is a popular series of Virat Kohli, which has recently launched its latest outlet on Golf Course Road. I finally went to check it out, and overall, the experience was very solid – an inner, good music, and a menu that mixes global tastes with familiar comfort.
I started my food with a group of small plates, and the first cutting, the Lotus root chips stole the show for me. They were super crisp, double-cided and a sticky honey-chilli glass was thrown into the mirror covering the correct sweet-spicy balance. A smooth avocado combined with mousse and top with toasted sesame and pumpkin seeds, it was easily my favorite dish of the whole food.

This was followed by Avocado Truffe Bits – Crispy Tortila hideouts with creamy avocado were mutually interrupted and Truffle Oil’s signature hit. Vasabi added a touch of summer, and Balsmic Caviar gave it a sharp leg. It was fun, flavorful, and it was a good mix of texture. Black pepper chicken tikka followed- juicy, paperry, and well spicy. It came with a fermented ketchup and chutney that added some depth and smokness. Certainly taking a solid on a classic.

The search for a wrapped lamb was quite rich – the mutton kebab wrapped in soft naan flour, served with a thick brown gravy and garlic sauce. The flavor-wise it was great, although a bit on the heavy side for an appearance. I also tried chicken Goja, which was light and comfortable. The dumplings were juicy and had a good chiv-garlic taste through them, which was at the top with brown garlic and sesame oil. Out-of-the-box not amazing, but delicious and reliable.
Enjoying all this, I submerged on a cocktail called Victoria Blossom, which was a light and floral drink made with Elderflower, citric acid and Tanquare London Dry Guin. It was very beautiful, it was feeling that it was very sweet and well balanced.

For the main, I tried Mango Curry with blue pea rice, and it was honestly one of the most interesting things that evening. Curry had a mild coconut base with fresh mango pulp and basil, which gives it sweet, slightly tangy taste that felt tropical but not heavy. Blue peas rice looked beautiful and had a soft floral venture – it was definitely something new to my palate, and I really liked it.

I also had a pan noodles with chicken, which were loaded with greens, Thai basil and chili. Noodles had a big texture and soaked the sauce well. It was simple, but was well done – one of the comfortable dishes you know will be the right hit every time.

With the main, I switched to another cocktail called Cola Island, their bizarre twist on a long island iced tea. It had all the common souls- counting, tequila, vodka, rum, cointereu- but it was fun that Dude Cola and the top cola foam on top were smoked cola foam. It seems a lot, but it worked somehow. It had a smokey taste and was super smooth.
To finish the meal, I went to two desserts. The coffee trace laches was light, just soaked right, and a bold aspresso had a taste that was completely cut through sweetness. Some crunchs jumped on the top of honey, and the whipped cream felt light and ventilated – definitely a good way of air below. On the other hand, 20 layer chocolate cake did not actually meet expectations. It looked dramatic, but the texture was a bit dry and there was a lack of that bhogi prosperity which I was expecting. It was not bad, it was slightly less than how exciting it looked.

In all, One8 Commune is a good place when you are looking for good food, fun cocktail, and a comfortable dinner with a stretch that is cold and a little excited. Some were hits, missing a pair, but enough taste and personality want me to go back and try more.
