Indians are often proud to come up with creative workarounds and shortcuts to complete various tasks. These solutions are usually called “jugaad”. Many of them are clever and useful options that demonstrate originality and resources. A similar Jugad post is now going viral on X (East Twitter). Bangalore -based product designer, Ashita shared his simple solution to remove excess water from his newly installed purifier without the trouble of continuous supervision. Sharing a picture of my water purifier setup, he wrote, “I just needed to empty a water purifier and the first batch. As a lazy designer, I had to do something.”

The image showed the purifier of water planted on the kitchen wall, spreading the water into a large plastic bottle, with a kiln in it. From there, the excess water moved into a small bottle, which then channeled the spill in the sink.

The post caught several eyeballs on social media, in which many users praised the designer for their ‘jugaad’ skills. A user wrote, “Great creativity for water collection!
