What inspired you to embark on this journey?
Our role models and inspirations are most of the time our parents because we follow them growing up and how they handle situations shows us the way in the future. However, Prabha got the inspiration and courage to bring about a change in her life from her daughter. “My daughter Manisha was my biggest inspiration. He was the first to show me the power of fitness and transform himself. With her expertise and support, I started weight training, taking balanced nutrition and slowly started seeing changes in my body and mindset,” she shares.
What are the biggest challenges you faced along the way?
“At first it was difficult for me to accept the concept of weight training. With family responsibilities, staying consistent was also not easy, and giving up cravings was challenging. But seeing real results helped me overcome these obstacles,’ he said.
How did you stay motivated during your weight loss journey?
For Prabha it wasn’t a weight loss transformation journey, it was about meeting a stronger version of herself every day. “Every small gain in strength, every drop in pain, and every step toward better health motivates me to keep going. Manisha’s constant support kept me on track, she never let me fall (she would not let me fall) which made me focus on consistency rather than motivation.
Diet and exercise regimen adopted during your transformation
Prabha’s coach at FITTR and her daughter Manisha created a personalized diet for Prabha that met her needs. “I was taking a balanced protein-rich diet with proper hydration, sleep and 6 days of strength training exercises, which was done by my coach and daughter Manisha Tiwari,” she explains.
Did you face any setbacks, and if so, how did you overcome them?
“Thankfully, once I started I never looked back. My daughter was always with me and supported me in any moment of doubt,” she said.
What advice do you have for others who want to embark on a similar transformation journey?
Prabha tells that if you love your family, then staying healthy is a responsibility. Fitness is not a choice; This is a necessity. “God has given us life to live – not just to survive (fitness is not a choice but it is very important to understand and above all, God has given us life to live not to spend)” she said.
How has your life changed since achieving your weight loss goals?
“This journey was about more than just weight loss; It was a journey of self-worth and growth. My thyroid and sugar medications are gone, my knee pain is gone, and I can wear clothes I’d only ever dreamed of. My transformation inspires others, and that recognition is my biggest reward,” says Prabha.
