What to serve with Makhana Aloo Curry?
Makhana potato curry tastes best when mixed with a bowl of hot rice. You can enjoy it with both plain rice or jeera rice depending on your personal preference. If you’re not a fan of rice, feel free to pair the curry with regular buckwheat (buckwheat) roti.
How to make Makhana Potato Curry. Makhana Aloo Curry Recipe
– First of all, heat oil in a pan and fry the makhana in it until it becomes golden brown and crisp. Cancel. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pressure cooker. Add onion paste to it and cook on low-medium flame for 10 minutes. Add garam masala powder, cumin, red chili powder, coriander powder and green chili and mix. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Add tomato paste and cook for a few minutes until the mixture thickens. Add peeled and chopped potatoes, add salt and mix well. Pressure cook till 4 whistles. Once done, allow the pressure to release naturally. Open the cooker and cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes. Add roasted makhana and mix well. Garnish with fresh chopped coriander and serve hot. Your Makhana Aloo Curry is ready to taste!
