What makes Red Force special?
The ride features a sleek red design inspired by Ferrari, with a unique top-hat shape. It launches riders from 0 to 180 km/h in seconds, climbing to its highest point before a sharp descent with a 90-degree turn. After a fast pace and a short hill, the ride ends back at the station. Red Force can carry 1,200 people per hour, making it suitable for large crowds.
Built by leading rollercoaster manufacturer Intamin, Red Force uses linear synchronous motors (LSM) for its launch system. This technology is quieter, smoother and more energy-efficient than older hydraulic systems, ensuring an eco-friendly yet thrilling ride.
How does it look different globally
Before Red Force, coasters like Kinga Ka in the US and Formula Rossa in Abu Dhabi held the top positions. While the Kingada is still in operation, it is set to be replaced by modern rides, and Formula Rossa remains a top choice for speed lovers.
Red Force is the main attraction of Ferrari Land, part of the larger PortAventura World amusement park. Tourists can also enjoy other thrill rides like Shambhala, which was once the tallest rollercoaster in Europe.
