Strangers-turned-friends reunite at the same restaurant where they first met a year ago

A woman named Erin Rose Jackson shared a touching video on Instagram of meeting her long-distance friend Sue. Erin met Sue in a restaurant in Brooklyn in 2023. They sat next to each other, started talking and immediately took pictures. They decided to meet again exactly one year later, on the same date and same time.

But wait, there’s a catch! Erin and Sue decided not to share any contact information. It was simply a “promise to a stranger.”

Summing up the story, Erin captioned, “A year ago we met this lady Sue at a restaurant and we felt like soul mates. We agreed to meet again for dinner at the same place a year later, but we never exchanged phone numbers or personal information to contact each other. I didn’t even know his last name. So today, we flew back to NYC for dinner with Sue because we promised we would, we sure hope she comes too.”

Guess what? Sue had actually come to the same restaurant to meet her dear friend. Erin and Sue’s unforgettable reunion was filled with warm embraces and joyful smiles. Erin couldn’t control her excitement at seeing her friend again. Both friends enjoyed delicious spring rolls served with spices with their families. There were also glasses of red wine on the table.
