Swiggy was initially launched in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai and Pune.

On-demand convenience platform Swiggy Ltd on Monday said it has expanded its 10-minute food delivery offering, Bolt, to more than 400 cities and towns across India. Swiggy said in a statement that it was initially launched in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai and Pune, but now Bolt is also active in cities like Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Indore, Coimbatore and Kochi.
It said that Swiggy has expanded the 10-minute food delivery service to tier-2 and tier-3 cities such as Roorkee, Guntur, Warangal, Patna, Jagtial, Solan, Nashik and Shillong.
It said Bolt has been adopted the most in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, followed by Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Punjab.
Swiggy said it is actively partnering with restaurants to optimize order priority for Bolt Orders, featuring food items with minimal or no preparation time.
“To ensure the safety of delivery partners, they are not informed about the difference between Bolt and regular orders, and there is no incentive for faster delivery. Delivery radius for Bolt is limited to 2 km as of now “, which also increases familiarity and enables faster delivery,” the company stressed.
Additionally, the speed of delivery is optimized by giving priority to the delivery officers closest to the Bolt outlets.
Designed for speed, Bolt focuses on recipes that can be delivered without compromising taste, freshness or quality. It features food delivered from over 40,000 participating restaurants with a range of over 1 million items to choose from.
