On Friday, the 46-year-old actor surprised the audience at San Diego Comic-Con by announcing not only that he would return as the ridiculously outspoken anti-hero Soldier Boy in Season 5; Boys — alias Final Season — but he’ll soon lead a prequel revolving around his character in 1950s New York City for Prime Video.

During a Hall H panel inside Comic-Con on Friday, Cash, 42, also delighted fans with his presence (via pre-recorded video), telling the crowd that he’s read the script and that the show will include references ranging from Judy Garland to Joe McCarthy. Other than that, very few details have been released about the series.
“We are excited to bring you the next quirky series from the world of ‘Dangal’. Boys. “This is an intriguing murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early adventures of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical antics of a superhero known to fans as Stormfront, who at the time went by the name of Clara Vought,” Kripke and series showrunner and executive producer Paul Grelong said in a statement.
He added, “We can’t wait to blow your minds and haunt your souls with this erotic, blood- and Compound V-drenched retelling of the Weasley saga.”
Boys – which is based on the comic book series of the same name – has already inspired a major spinoff, Gen Vwhich follows the students of Godolkin University — a college specifically for superheroes. The show stars Maddie Phillips, Liz Broadway, Jaz Sinclair, Asa German and Chance Perdomo — who died in a motorcycle accident in March at the age of 27.
The first teaser shown during the Hall H panel on Friday showed the characters dealing with the loss of Perdomo’s character, which the writers confirmed in May. They will not rebuild After the death of the actor. Gen V Season 2 will premiere in 2025.
During this, Boys Season 5 is reportedly set to be released in 2026. Kripke said scriptwriting is underway — it’s been about two months — and they’re full steam ahead on the final season.

I’m surprised it’s gone on this long, honestly.”
