A guest was shocked after attending a family friendâs wedding, where guests were treated differently based on their âwealth.â The anonymous Reddit user shared his experience on the @r/weddingshaming page. The user reported that the groom is from an âextremely rich family that paid for the weddingâ. However, the groom only accepted the money and the family was not involved in the wedding preparations. Elaborating on the poor arrangements, the guest revealed that after the wedding ceremony, they partied âfor an hour in the hot sun, with an open bar for about 150 guests and a bartender with not a single hors dâ Owerre is not being pushed around.â
But the shocking part is yet to come. Talking about the dinner arrangements, the guest wrote, âWe then enter a large plastic tent, where dinner takes place in the heat of summer at about 3 pm, when the sun is still very hot There is only one door for ventilation.â

Talking about the meal, the guest shared that âIt was supposed to be a 7-course meal but one dish was missing.â For main, the guest got steak and âIt was 4 slices of steak for 8 people. Two bottles of wine were left on each table and there was no bar during dinner, which was fine.â
However, he felt humiliated when he learned that the âvery wealthyâ guests at the wedding were given âprofuse and high-quality bottles of wine, scotch, tequila and much food.â
Additionally, there was no dessert at the end of the night, âjust Oreo boxes and a table of sliced ââapples.â The guest revealed that âthe groomâs mother had tears in her eyes because she was embarrassed by how most of the guests were treated.â
