Ultra-sustained foods may be blamed
A major contributor for increasing cases is the consumption of ultra-related foods, which is now an important part of the Western diet. These foods, often in sugar, fats and additives, can replace the intestine microbiome – an internal ecosystem of bacteria that plays an important role in digestion, immune response and prevention of the disease. Interruption in this microbiom has been associated with inflammation and cancer development.
Role of yogurt in cancer prevention
Justin Stabing, Professor of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Anglia Ruskin, has explained the potential protective role of the curd. “Emerging evidence suggests that regular curd consumption may have a protective effect against some aggressive forms of colorectal cancer by modifying the intestine microbiome,” he explained.
How to support curd intestine health
The type rich in probiotics such as yogurt, especially bifidobacterium, can help promote a healthy intestine environment. “The intestine can remain inside bacteria cancer,” stabing shared. “In general, a healthy balance of these bacteria is necessary to maintain a strong immune system and prevent inflammation, which can contribute to the development of cancer.”
Study reflects low risk with regular curd intake
A major study involving 150,000 participants showed that people who had consumed two or more yogurt servings per week had a significant risk of developing a specific and aggressive type of bowel cancer, known as the proximal colon cancer, which is on the right side of the colon. This type is often more challenging for early detection and is associated with the results of poor survival.
Small dietary changes can have a big effect
This discovery aligns with increasing research connecting intestinal health to overall well -being, including cancer resistance. Stebbing suggests the importance of making simple dietary changes, “Small, consistent habits including yogurt in your breakfast can create meaningful differences in long -term health results.”
