They say road trips are the best way to experience a different country, culture and historical site – and rightfully so! Having control over your destination and the freedom that comes from driving wherever you see fit can be liberating. Although road trips require considerable time and can take a lot of time, there are still plenty of options.
But if you have a lot of time and you are very keen on road trips, then make sure you visit it at least once in a lifetime.
In a blog post, Allianz Assistance revealed that the journey from Sagres to Talon is the longest possible overland road journey and requires 200 hours of non-stop travel.
The blog reads, “This trip of 9,414 miles (15,151 km) will involve approximately 200 hours of continuous driving. Obviously you’ll want to break up the trip, doing so means you’ll be able to explore the many amazing countries in Portugal. Starting point, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Belarus and across Russia via Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk and Talon”
The journey will begin in the municipality of Sagres, Portugal, known for its charming appearance and rich history.
However, there is a catch! Considering the current situation in Ukraine, this journey will be a bit difficult at present. Those who want to stay safe and get the most out of their trip will need to allow at least a few months to ensure they stay at a comfortable pace.
