There are plans to keep millions of people out of hospital for GPS

The government says that plans to support GPS to take care and advice to patients are being expanded by them from joining the waiting list of long NHS hospitals.
GPS will work more closely with experts to quickly reach expert advice for patients with irritable bowel syndrome, menopause symptoms and ear infections.
Supported by ÂŁ 80 meter funding, its ambition is to help two million people to get more convenient and more convenient care in their local community by the end of 2025/26.
Health Minister Karen Smith said that the scheme will âsave time and prevent people from going to the hospital for unnecessary appointmentsâ.
The extended plan is part of the governmentâs plan to cut the long NHS waiting list and make additional appointments for patients.
It has vowed that 92% NHS patients will wait for less than 18 weeks for treatment after referral to a advisor by the end of this Parliament.
Between July and December 2024, the scheme twisted 660,000 treatments in hospitals and community, saying the government.
Called âadvice and guidanceâ, the scheme connects GPS and hospital experts, before patients are referred to in the waiting list, so that testing and treatment can be introduced at the most convenient location.
For example, patients with tinnitus and ear wax removal are required, often referred to experts when they could be helped outside hospitals. And women advising HRT can be treated in a local hub instead of waiting to see a gynecologist.
GP practices are able to claim that they use this scheme to take care of the community from the hospital.

Health Minister Karin Smith said that the government is âpreparing NHSâ and doing things differently.
âThis scheme is an ideal example of the fact that we are saving patients and reducing the pressure on major NHS services in this process,â he said.
âIn recent years it will take time to reverse harmful neglect that damages NHS, but our plan for change is starting to provide benefits for patients, a waiting list of 219,000 has been cut since July, and 1,500 new GPS in the post.â
The national voices representing health donations in England, stated that the âreal choiceâ patients should be introduced what the best treatment routes are.
âWe should see strong communication about what service is and what it means practically to the patientâs care,â said Sharon Brainon, director of the policy.
The British Medical Association said in a statement: âWe have seen the decades of under -custody in general practice, and it is an important small step in accepting the important role of GP and the important role of support practices to give patients in the community increased.
âThe journey to bring back the doctor of the family has only started. Now we should focus on the promise of the State Secretary to fulfill a new GP contract negotiation within the tenure of this Parliament to protect the family GP services for the future, and we are ready to work closely with the government to achieve it.â
