In late November, Premier Inn, the largest hotel chain in the UK, released a study listing some of the most beautiful winter cities in the world. As part of the analysis, Premier Inn showed 100 participants 72 photos of cities experiencing winter around the world. They also used eye-tracking technology to measure which destinations the eyes stayed on for the longest time.
The press release states, “Using eye-tracking software, the average time spent by participants looking at the image of each destination was recorded. The average fixation time was then sorted from high to low to reveal the cities that The cities where people spent the longest time were ranked the most attractive and therefore the most beautiful.”
According to the analysis, bostonThe average viewing time of Horizon was 2.67 seconds. According to the results, “the city’s famous colonial architecture takes on an extra nostalgic quality when covered in snow, while the Freedom Trail becomes an even more magical walking path.”
Several other US cities also impressed viewers, including New York City – which came in second place. It was followed by Salt Lake City, Washington DC and Aspen, Colorado.
The study also compared notable winter cities around the world. The top 10 in the list are:
