ViennaThe Austrian capital has once again earned the coveted title of the world’s most liveable city. For the third year in a row and the ninth time in the last eleven years, this stunning European capital has topped the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) rankings. global livability index,

The annual report, which aims to show how comfortable or liveable a city is, examined 173 cities based on 30 indicators across five categories: sustainability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure. Vienna’s exceptional quality of life, balance of rich history, modern infrastructure and emphasis on the well-being of its citizens earned it a top spot in the ranking. The city has consistently excelled in the key areas assessed by the EIU, including healthcare, education, culture, infrastructure and sustainability.

What makes Vienna worth living?

Vienna has a world-class healthcare system, ensuring residents have access to top-notch medical care. The city is also renowned for its excellent educational institutions, from primary schools to universities. In addition, its stunning architecture, world-class museums, and vibrant art scene make it a unique cultural experience for both locals and travelers.

While Vienna received perfect scores in four of the five categories, it missed out on a complete sweep due to a slight drop in the culture score, mainly due to the lack of major sporting events. Still, this minor setback does not affect the city’s overall dominance.
