Thangal Para is basically a Muslim pilgrimage site near Vagamon but is equally popular among off-roading and trekking enthusiasts. Situated on top of a hill, this rock is said to be the final resting place of Sufi saint Husrath Sheikh Fariduddin Baba who came from Afghanistan 800 years ago. Situated at an altitude of 2,500 metres, the circular shape of the rock is believed to have been formed after the death of the saint.
