Vapping clinic for children starts looking at patients

A Vaping Clinic for the purpose of children under 11 years of age has begun to see patients with the aim of getting “nicotine -free”.
The Waping Sessation Service in Liverpool was formed in November at the Elder Hey Children Hospital and has started treating children between 11 and 16 years of age.
Elder Hey NHS Foundation Trust stated that the clinic will “work closely” with each patient to create a “sewn solution” to meet its requirements.
The number of youth using vapes or e -cigarettes – electronic equipment that distribute nicotine -containing vapor – has increased rapidly on both Mercesis and national level.
according to a 14,000 children survey Placed by North West Trading Standards in 2023, 14% accepted evaporation more than once a week – above 6% in 2020.
The number of children smoking tobacco, however, was below 6%, the lowest record in the northwest of England.

The same year a group of nine public health directors in Cheshire and Mercesis Signed a joint letter Warning of increase in vapping in children.
The letter stated: “While Veps are sometimes advertised as a risk-free option for smoking, we do not yet know the long-term effects of vapping regularly.
“In short term, using vapes can cause cough, headache, dizziness and sore throat.
“Some veps also contain nicotine, which is incredibly addictive, and that is why they should only be used as a tool to prevent smoking.”
Professor Rachel Isba, who is leading the vapor service in Elder Hey, told a security and quality assurance committee last year that more data was required on the number of children addicted to nicotine.
The meeting heard that the hospital’s trust would need to take a “separate policy” on the volatile for adult hospital trusts, which promoted it as a way to prevent smoking.
Prof. Isaba said that he was aware of the complications caused by the vapor used for breathing other substances including dangerous synthetic drugs Spice – which could lead to the arrest of the heart.
Last year a study was found by Bath University One of the six Vapes seized in schools There was spice all over England.
