Vietnam is becoming a favorite of all. The country welcomed a total of 3.96 million foreign visitors in the first two months of 2025. This number represents an increase of 30% year-on-year.

According to Google Trends, Vietnam was the most researched destination by Indians in 2023. This is the same year when the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism reported an increase of 231% in India’s visitors as compared to 2019.

Vietnam has a reputation for one of the cheapest destinations in Southeast Asia. For Indian tourists, Vietnam provides excellent value for money. Compared to other sites, expenses such as housing, food and transport are very pocket-friendly.

Vietnam aims to attract 23 million foreign visitors in 2025. To achieve this, Prime Minister Fam Minh Chinah has asked the ministries to find an additional visa exemption for tourists of major markets. So far, efforts include e-VISA processes streamlined, and increasing campaigns in strategic markets.
