Popular material manufacturer Duo – Nick and Carrie – recently went to a street stall in Mumbai to enjoy Vada Pav. Carrie’s attempt to give her order in Marathi has gone viral.

Videos of foreigners tasting Indian street food are often viral for different reasons. Recently, a fun reel took Instagram from the storm, enjoying Vada Pav on the streets of Mumbai. The clip was shared by popular material manufacturer Duo, Nick and Carrie. Nick is originally from India, while Carrie is from Hong Kong. It was not just the fact that he re -remembered this spicy treatment that caught many eyeballs online – it was also how he decided to place his order. The video starts with a lesson on the screen, stating, “My girlfriend’s first time is trying to Wada Pav on the road.” Two other friends are seen with the couple on the discovery of their food.

Carrie emphasizes the order of Vada Pav. Both Nick and Carrie called the seller, called him “brother”. She then asks her to give her a slightly broken Marathi, “Bhau, Mala Vada Pav Di?” His friends burst around him in laughter. She asks them if she said this right. Nick asked her how she knows the words. She simply announces, “I Gugala it.” This leads to a fresh match of laughter. Meanwhile, they check if the seller understood his order. It seemed that he did it because he had placed a vada pav towards him. Nick Marvels, “That’s too early!” Carrie enthusiasts with a snack in his hand and bites it.
“It’s great,” she says after tasting. Nick asked him, “What is the difference between Hotel Vada Pav and Street Wada Pav?” Indicating one in her hand, she says, “This is better! 10/10.” Watch the full viral video below:
