The viral post has sparked debate in the comments section. Some users felt the pay was too low and the workers deserved better. Others felt the delivery agents should choose not to work if they are not willing to accept such earnings. Check out some reactions below:

“Meanwhile Zomato is paying crores of rupees to software engineers.”

“Be respectful of the persons making the delivery.”

“Brother, the distance was in kilometres
.we have to pay delivery charges ranging from Rs 80 to Rs 150.”

“You won’t earn 20 rupees. Bike maintenance and petrol expenses come out of your pocket.”

“So the hourly rate is around 40, so if you work 12 hours a day for 25 days in a month you will earn 12000 in the lowest bracket
 umm.”

“Do the same job in any Western country and you’ll get at least 10 times more pay. Our country is ruined, as long as income inequality persists, we’re not going to get anywhere.”

Earlier, an X post about a Bengaluru resident who became a Blinkit delivery agent for a day had taken the internet by storm. She claimed that she did it because she was curious to know “how they make deliveries in 10 minutes.” Click here to read the full story.
