Mahindra Chairperson Anand Mahindra just gave us a glimpse of what a Sunday meal is like in his “typical Punjabi” home – and let’s just say it’s as enjoyable as you imagine. The businessman shared a funny video on X that will definitely bring a smile to your face. The video begins with a family dressed in white veshti – traditional South Indian attire – and a man wearing a turban singing a catchy Punjabi tune that pays homage to the famous South Indian dishes: dosa, idli and vada. As the man sings, the visuals show a plate full of these South Indian dishes, and with them, we see the perfect accompaniments – sambar and coconut chutney. It’s a visual feast.

The translation of that man’s song is as follows:

“Come, let me feed you dosa, vada and idli, add a little sambar on top to make it tasty. Don’t forget the coconut chutney, so that you don’t forget it, and the food doesn’t get harmed by the evil eye. (Not to be seen).”

Anand Mahindra shared the video with the caption: “Sunday is dosa day at our house. We are typical Punjabis.” And honestly, we get it. When dosa is on the menu, it is a celebration. Take a look here:
