Internet users might be bored of ‘everything is cake’ videos, but now a talented candle artist has revamped the trend by creating hyper-realistic candles. Candles are no longer just plain sticks of wax in different colours. In a recent video, this artist has transformed candle wax into a mouth-watering candle with a delicious raita candle inside! The foodie candle video created by @houseofdrip._ has gone viral on Instagram, garnering almost 7.8 million views. The video begins with a clay plate resembling a biryani handi. Two wicks are placed and liquid white wax is poured. Now, this is where the magic begins.
On top of the white wax, the artist places a wax figure in the shape of a half-boiled egg. Next comes a realistic-looking chicken leg made of wax. Next are added yellow, orange and white wax granules, just like a plate of biryani. On top are added tiny pieces of wax, which look 100 percent like fried onions. Next are added green chillies made of wax, followed by star anise. If your mouth drops open, there’s more.

The Raita candle is made in a small clay bowl with a wick and white wax. Then, raw onion slices (no surprise, it’s all wax!) are added and the texture is done to make the white wax look like yogurt.
