Indian cuisine is becoming more popular around the world, but dishes with global recognition are still limited to a few like butter chicken and samosas. However, many people around the world can meet Indian friends, neighbors and even family to taste the local cuisine. An Indian man introduces his Korean family to the iconic Aloo Puri combo in a video going viral on Instagram.
In the video, the man’s sister-in-law can be seen excited and curious as a plate full of puris is placed on the table. A bowl of potatoes and peas is also kept nearby. She tries her best to speak the names of the dishes.

“Looks delicious,” the girl says in Korean, eager to try Indian food. With a piece of puri in her hand, she looks confused and asks, “How do I eat this?” She then eats a piece of potato and puri and likes the taste, calling it “good”. The funny video ends with an Indian man saying that his sister-in-law ate five puris but now wants kimchi and rice.
