Indian cuisine is fascinating. From succulent corn coated in spices to icy snacks with a variety of sweet and tangy flavours, there are many fun Indian street foods that you can enjoy right in the comfort of your own home. Vendors carry these snacks wrapped around a bicycle, cart or on a stick slung over their shoulder. One such interesting street food item that will remind you of your childhood is ‘lachi’. Recently, popular Russian vlogger Maria Chugurova posted a video on her Instagram handle in which she tried this sweet and artistic Indian candy for the first time. The vendor had moulded the candy into fun shapes like chicken and flower.

The vlogger was fascinated by the little chicken shape of the candy. She noticed that it tasted quite “mint-like” and bought several candies from the vendor, distributed them among children and also gave one to a policeman. “Happy police, happy people,” she says.
