Old Delhi is the hub of food lovers, where something special is available at every nook and corner. But have you eaten Nagori Halwa? For your information: Nagori is a small, crisp and crunchy puri prepared with ghee and semolina. In this, first of all, by making a hole in the middle with the thumb (yes, exactly like Golgappa), Kesari Semolina Halwa and Aloo Masala Sabzi are filled. After this, it is dipped in spicy gravy before serving. The explosion of sweet and salty flavors inside your mouth will be truly unique.

Now, a food vlogger has put up a video on Instagram featuring the gastronome in Old Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, a hidden gem serving Nagori with a twist. The vendors of a shop called Balaji Kachori Bhandar call this dish “Nagori Shots”. In the clip, the seller says, “You must have eaten a lot of Nagori, should I feed you Nagori shots? All the flavors – sweet, sour, spicy – everything will come in one shot. 1 bullet and banda blast. (You must have eaten a lot of Nagori, can I make Nagori shots for you? All the tastes – sweet, sour and spicy will come at once. One will enjoy).”

The vendor then makes a hole in the Nagori before filling it with halwa, potato curry and chutney. The food vlogger puts the entire Nagori in his mouth and his reaction is priceless. “Fantastic” he confirms, presumably impressed by the wonderful taste. Price? 30 rupees for one Nagori.
