Leah Shatkever of the UK has set a new Guinness World Record for “most cotton candy (candy floss) eaten in one minute”, swallowing 49 grams (1.72 oz) in 60 seconds. Shatkever, known for holding several food record titles, achieved this latest feat just in time for Christmas. Guinness World Records shared a video of his attempt on Instagram. To stay festive, Shatkever chose green candy floss, which represents the Grinch. Candy floss, a sweet treat made by heating and twisting sugar, is often associated with fairs and carnivals. After completing the challenge, Shatkever described the experience as “absolutely delicious”.
Guinness World Records commented on the video, “Merry Cotton Candy Grinchmas to all.”
