These are the ultimate comfort food, known for their ability to lift our spirits and satisfy late night hunger. While different companies have introduced different instant noodle flavors over the years, nothing compares to the OG Maggi. In recent years, there has been a rise in viral videos showcasing unconventional Maggi fusions, from Mango Maggi to Rooh Afza Maggi, Pani Puri Maggi and even Pan Masala Maggi. Now, a new Instagram post offers a unique take on this beloved dish: Roti Maggi.
The video starts with dietitian Mac Singh taking leftover rotis and cutting them into noodle-like strips using scissors. He then heats a metal vessel on the stove and lightly sprinkles oil on it. Next, he adds chopped onions, green chillies and tomato puree to the pan. Next, he mixes together spices like salt, turmeric powder and red chili powder. Once the flavors are combined, he adds the roti noodles to the pan and mixes them well with the sauce before placing the dish in a bowl. Watch the video below:

Although this dish is definitely healthier than Maggi noodles, the recipe sparked debate on whether it could be called âRoti Maggiâ as there was no Maggi involved in making it. One user said, âMaggi without Maggi.â Another said, âIsnât it just roti?â Someone else commented, âWeâve been making this since we were kids.â Others seemed impressed by the food experiment, with one saying, âWow, great! I cooked something similar, but it was a little different.â Someone shouted that it doesnât sound any healthier than Maggi as both the dishes contain gluten. âWill definitely try this,â another comment read.
