Saag is one of the most loved dishes, especially enjoyed during winters in India. If you have grown up in a North Indian family, you will know how important this is. The video highlights the meticulous process of making saag from scratch. After watching this, you too will definitely be craving some food!
The video has been shared by Instagram page @mrzezothefoodie. The clip begins with the digital creator explaining that the man who prepared the saag is named Choudhary Salim, and he gives saag in large quantities to his friends every year. The process begins with cutting the sargon and bringing it into the house. Then it is cleaned and cut with the help of machines. The greens are slow cooked for 9 hours, after which the water is drained to reduce bitterness. Fresh water is then added along with salt and green chilli paste and it is cooked for another hour before being taken off the flame. Next, corn flour is added, mixed well, and transferred to the degh (kadhai), where it is purified with the help of a machine. The greens are now ready and packed to send to his friends.
