Idli is a popular South Indian breakfast. The delicious rice cake is very soft and perfectly steamed. It tastes best when eaten with hot sambar and chutney. In this recipe, as the name suggests, idli is made with oats and grated carrots. Oats are rich in protein, while carrots are a good source of several nutrients like potassium, vitamin A and biotin. This low calorie oats idli is very easy to make and tastes delicious. Take a look at the recipe below:

Low-Calorie Oats Idli Recipe: How To Make Low-Calorie Oats Idli
To make this idli, first fry the oats on a pan until they become light golden brown. Once done, put them in the mixer and make a fine powder. In a pan add oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal and let them splutter. – Add chopped chilli, green coriander and grated carrot in it. – Add turmeric powder and fry for a minute.
Now, add this spice to the ground oats mixture and then add curd. (You can add more curd to get the consistency of idli batter) Grease the idli steamer plates with oil and pour the batter evenly over all the areas. Cook them in steam for about 15-20 minutes. Once done, remove them from the plate and serve hot! Low-calorie oats idli is ready!
Note: To know whether the idli is cooked or not, pierce the idli with a knife to see if the batter is sticking to the knife.
