Rumesa was first recognized by Guinness World Records in 2014 as the tallest living teenager. In 2021, she was named the tallest living woman. Recently, Guinness World Records shared a video of his experience flying with Turkish Airlines during a trip to the United States and United Kingdom.

Rumesa, who suffers from a rare genetic condition, revealed she needed to travel on a stretcher due to scoliosis, a severe curvature of the spine.
Turkish Airlines did everything possible to make your 19-hour flight from Istanbul to San Francisco as comfortable as possible. He removed six seats to install a custom stretcher, allowing him to lie flat and protect his back. Rumesa shared her thoughts with Guinness World Records, “I’m really excited, my heart is beating fast. Because of my spinal condition, I had to fly on this stretcher. It was great – it was really The whole crew and the chef surprised me with a wonderful chocolate cake. It was so kind, so sweet, that it made me emotional.”
She further explained her condition in the comments section, “Everyone is wondering why I need to lie down during the flight: I have a condition called scoliosis, which is a severe curvature of the spine. I had spinal surgery 11 years ago. Had fusion surgery, and while my curves have reduced and are no longer a threat to my life, my sitting time is still limited to 1-2 hours maximum (this was just 20 minutes before my surgery. Used to be!) After that, I need to lie down to rest. I have two long rods and 30 screws in my spine, keeping it from bending or twisting so I always have to keep my back straight. And it has to be kept flat.”
He added, “For me, flying on a stretcher is the safest – and only – option for air travel. Although the reason for this is not my height of more than 7 feet, but the condition of my spine, I feel like doing so.” I feel incredibly blessed to have found my way.” Make air travel possible!”
