Adventure sports lovers who live a busy life, indoor rock climbing is one of the best ways to keep themselves fit. The indoor climb is one of the most physical and latest trends of the decade and is becoming more popular among the youth.

Why is indoor climbing harmful to your lungs?

However, according to new studies, this trendy new game can fill your lungs with cancer -causing pollutants. Austrian scientists have found that the footwear rubber soles worn by climbers left a host of toxic chemicals in the air, which then breathes in the lungs.
These chemicals are associated with lung inflammation, organ damage, respiratory diseases and even certain types of cancer.
According to research conducted by the University of Vienna, scientists found that the level of smoke in the air was recorded in some of the most polluted cities on Earth. They are now warning the gym to improve ventilation and climb on shoe designers to change the ingredients used to help climbers and gym employees.
“These substances are not in the air that we breathe,” he said.
