“Not all bells are made, and it’s not just fat!” Anushi Jain, certified nutritionist and weight loss expert. In a recent post on Instagram, Jain told that our stomach size can actually tell us a lot what is going on inside the body. From stress to hormonal changes, each “abdomen type” reflects a different root cause – and knowing that you can help you take the right steps.
Why losing stomach fat is so difficult
Unlike the fat stored in other areas, abdominal fat is often intestinal fat, which surrounds internal organs and is deeply associated with hormones and metabolism. “The fat of the intestine is active,” Jain says. “This means that it is affected by stress hormones such as cortisol, insulin levels, and changes in estrogen or thyroid hormones.”
At the top of it, this type of fat does not always react quickly to diet or cardio. It often requires more targeted, overall approach, especially when hormonal imbalances are involved.
Let’s break different types of abdominal fat and how to deal with each:
1. Stressed belly
What it looks like: a bag -like stomach, often with high cortisol levels.
Reason: Chronic stress.
Solution: “Sips on green tea rich in L-Thinine,” Jain recommended. It helps to calm the nervous system and reduces the levels of cortisol.
2. PCOS Stomach
What it looks like: It is difficult to lose low stomach bulge.
Reason: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which leads to insulin resistance.
Solution: “Cinnamon tea can help balance blood sugar levels,” Jain says, which makes it easier to manage weight.
3. Thyroid belly
What it looks like: Puffy and soft abdominal fat.
Causes: Low thyroid hormone.
Solution: Coriander seed tea is rich in antioxidants and can naturally support the thyroid function.
4. Menopausal stomach
What it looks like: Fat stored around the lower abdomen.
Cause: Drop in estrogen and increase insulin resistance during menopause.
Solution: Peppermint tea helps reduce blotting and calm digestion.
5. bloated stomach
What it looks like: the stomach that looks difficult and swollen during the day.
Causes: Digestive issues, often associated with hormonal imbalances.
Solution: Peppermint tea is again a winner – it helps in digestion and reduces inflammation.
6. Alcohol belly
What it looks like: a round stomach with fat accumulation on the front.
Causes: Excess alcohol leads to poor liver detox and fat storage.
Solution: “Ash gourd juice can remove toxins and support liver health,” Jain suggested.
Losing stomach fat leads to greater than the count of crunches and calories. Understanding the root cause behind the size of your abdomen – whether it is stress, hormone, or digestion – can help you target it more effectively.
And remember, stability, hygiene and sleeping are the same as diet and exercise.
“Every stomach tells a story,” Jain says, “and when you listen closely, you can get out from inside.”
