More than 20 condiment products, including dips, curry powders and seasonings, have been recalled over fears they may contain peanuts not mentioned on the label.

In a notice issued by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), the decision to recall the products supplied by FGS Ingredients Ltd in Leicester was described as “precautionary”.

The recalled products include Domino’s BBQ Dip, seasonings and curry powders from Favorites and Dunnes stores and some Westmoreland Family Butchery sausages and burgers.

It comes after a week Separate recall on possible peanut contamination by FGS Ingredients, where the firm said testing was ongoing to understand “where and how this problem occurred”.

The Food Standards Agency said FGS Ingredients had taken the “precautionary step” of recalling a number of products.

Mustard products containing peanut ingredients can be found in foods such as dips, sauces, salads and pre-packaged sandwiches.

Last month FGS Ingredients said additional testing of its ingredients “found no presence of peanut ingredients or residues”, but advised customers to remove products containing mustard ingredients from sale.

A spokesperson previously said: “We have never been involved in any incidents of food contamination before. Nevertheless, we will continue to support the FSA investigation in every way we can to help determine the source of this issue “

latest FSA notice Consumers are said to have been advised to return the product for a full refund.

The FSA said: “These products are sold at many different retail stores under many different brand names.

“Point of sale notices will be displayed where the products were sold. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have purchased the product.”
