In recent times, a task force representing the Telangana Commissioner Food Security has been sharing the conclusions of inspections conducted across the state. They usually highlight food security violations discovered in various types of establishments, including restaurants and cafes to cloud kitchen and food building units. The most recent inspections were two in dairy units in the state. On March 20, 2025, the team went to Shinath Dairy Unit in Caton area. He exposed many problems in the campus.

The authorities visited the rodent infection and marked the lack of rat pads in the unit. Houseflies and cockroaches were also seen there. Two types of records (related to food tests and temperature monitoring for cold rooms) were found to be unavailable. In the cold room, racks used for storage of cheese were rust. Additionally, the task force made cobwew note in many places, patch flooring, dirty walls (with paan masala stains) at the entrance, and open drains without aries. He said that the walls of the unit were “flaky, impure and properly whitewas.” In addition, the opening of the dairy unit was not fitted with insect-proof mesh and thus exposed to the outside environment.

The task force team has inspected 20.03.2025 in the Caton area.

A few days ago (on March 18), the Food Security Team inspected Yashoda dairy products in Kuthbulpur. He found that the establishment did not show its FSSAI license prominently in its premises. Pest control, cold room temperature monitoring, employee health data, as well as water and food analysis records and reports were unavailable. The task force said that “Employees were wearing a haircut, but were found to be handling food articles with bare hands.”

They came to know that some items such as milk powder were stored on the ground instead of being placed in the palette. Additionally, the authorities identified house fly infections, patch floors, water stagnation and lack of proper drainage. They found that the doors were not close to the doors to keep the insects out. The inauguration of the outside environment also did not have insect-proof mesh. The task force also said that the cold room was “not maintained in a clean position.”

The task force team has inspected 18.03.2025 in Qutubullpur area.
