In the age of social media, food vloggers have gained immense popularity. They share their food experiences with followers and review what’s worth tasting. However, this trend has sometimes led to friction between vloggers and restaurant owners. A video recently circulating online shows a food vlogger being refused food at a restaurant after the owner spotted her filming, leading to a heated argument which has since gone viral Is. In a video posted on X, the vlogger goes to a restaurant and is seen ordering spring rolls. After asking the price, he gives the money to the shopkeeper, who replies, “60 rupees.” The owner then invites the vlogger to sit, but the vlogger refuses and chooses to continue filming from his current location.
Shortly after, the owner returns the vlogger’s payment and asks him to leave. The vlogger is clearly surprised and questions why he is being asked to leave. The owner, looking clearly disappointed, explained that he had seen the vlogger recording and was worried that he might later criticize the food, which could damage the restaurant’s reputation. “I stay away from you guys, my own restaurant is very good brother. I don’t want a vlogger like you.” (“I stay away from people like you. My restaurant is doing very well, brother. I don’t need vloggers like you”), the owner is heard saying.
