Many initial indications are attained by general health issues, making them easier to ignore them. However, initial detection can significantly improve treatment results. “Many cancer are present in the form of painless lumps. If a lump does not go away in a few weeks, a medical evaluation is necessary,” Dr. Aggarwal advised.

6. Indetermination weight loss or genden, unexplained weight loss (5 kg or more) can be a warning indication of pancreatic, stomach or lung cancer. On the other hand, rapid weight gain due to fluid buildup may be associated with ovarian cancer.

7. Changes in skin and nails
Black spots, skin yellow, or non-healing lesions can lead to a sign of liver cancer, melanoma or skin cancer. Abnormal nail changes – such as dark colored ridges or clubbing – indicate lungs or liver cancer.
Dr. Says Aggarwal, “Skin often reflects internal health. Any persistent changes, such as dark spots or non-healing wounds, must be checked by a doctor.”
8. Stomach or swelling
A sudden increase in abdominal size or frequent inflammation for more than two weeks may be a symptom of ovarian or liver cancer. It is necessary to seek medical advice for unexplained abdominal inflammation.
Dr. Gore warned, “Further examines should be done further. The ovarian cancer is often detected late because the symptoms are ignored.”
9. Abnormal pain and fatigue
Constant, unexplained pain in back or bones may indicate pancreatic, ovarian or bone cancer. Chronic fatigue that does not improve with comfort may be a sign of leukemia, colon or stomach cancer.
Dr. Aggarwal said, “People brush persistent pain and fatigue as related to stress.
10. Abnormal bleeding or discharge
– Blood in stool can indicate colorectal cancer.
– Blood in urine can indicate bladder or kidney cancer.
– Vaginal bleeding after menopause can be a sign of cervical or endometrial cancer.
Dr. “Unusual bleeding is one of the largest red flag for cancer. Patients often make mistakes for infection, delay in diagnosis.”
