Ayodhya Celebrated its first Deepotsav since the consecration of the Ram temple this January. More than 25 lakh lamps were lit on the banks of Saryu river. Two Guinness World Records were also created during the ceremony. The first prize was announced for the maximum number of people rotating the lamp together. However, the second award was for the display of 25,12,585 oil lamps, which was received by the Department of Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh, District Administration, Ayodhya. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present to receive both the awards.

Many people shared stunning pictures from the evening on their social media handles.
The event also saw a laser and drone show, which beautifully depicted the events of Ramayana. The festival featured cultural performances by artists representing six countries – Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia and Indonesia.
To ensure public safety, around 10,000 security personnel were deployed across the city. Additionally, a special arrangement included 80,000 lamps arranged in the shape of a swastika on a ghat.
