Astrajneca invests £ 450 meter at the UK plant
Astrazeneca plans to invest £ 450M in the expansion of a vaccine manufacturing plant in Liverpool, blaming the decrease in government support.
Pharmaceutical veteran has announced his decision two days after the Chancellor Rachel Reeves sets up the Labor plan to go “ahead and fast” to promote economic growth.
Astrazeneca stated that after “prevalent” talks, several factors impressed the move, including “the time and shortage of the final proposal compared to the previous government’s proposal”.
Treasury has been approached for comment.
Astrazeneca said: “The site will continue to produce and supply our flu vaccine for patients around the UK and the world.”
