Launching just in time for the festive season, the ambitious route will connect Bihar’s capital Patna with Delhi.
Stretching approximately 994 kilometers, it will be India’s longest. Vande Bharat Express offers fast, comfortable and luxurious travel options to passengers across multiple states. New to new Vande Bharat Express Delhi to Patna Distance covered in 11 hours 35 minutes. Other trains like Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express takes 11 hours and 55 mins, while New Delhi-Rajendra Nagar Tejas Rajdhani covers the same route in 11 hours and 30 mins.

The launch of Vande Bharat Express connecting Patna and Delhi comes at an important time. During Diwali and Chhath Puja, a large number of travelers return to their home towns, especially from Delhi, where a large Bihari community lives. Traditionally, this period puts huge pressure on trains and flights, as seats get booked months in advance and prices soar. The new Vande Bharat Express will reduce travel burden by adding more capacity and offering faster travel.
Earlier, the longest Vande Bharat Express route was 771 km between Delhi and Varanasi.

Delhi to Patna Vande Bharat: Schedule and Prices

Vande Bharat Special service will run from New Delhi to Patna on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and from Patna to New Delhi on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. From Delhi, it departs at 8:25 am and reaches Patna by 8:00 pm. On the return journey, the train departs from Patna at 7:30 am and reaches Delhi by 7:00 pm.

Unlike other long-distance trains, this Vande Bharat service offers only chair car seating, with no sleeper class. Ticket prices have been set at Rs 2,575 for AC chair car and Rs 4,655 for executive chair car. The train will stop at Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, Arrah Junction and Patna Junction.
