This experience was organized by Kovagarasetai and was named “Scare Squad”. Event organizer Kenta Ivana stated his intention to show how quickly a familiar environment can turn into a nightmare. “We wanted to portray the normally safe, peaceful Shinkansen collapsing in the blink of an eye,” he said, speaking to local media.
The actors can be seen undergoing terrifying transformation as they transform from innocent passengers into rampaging zombies. They used some props including toy chainsaws and replica firearms. However, organizers carefully avoided graphic depictions of violence.
This innovative program provided a perfect example of Japan’s unique approach to combining entertainment with cultural experiences, especially during the festive season. As the passengers disembarked, many expressed delight and relief, and were eager to share their extraordinary adventure.
