India’s spice omelet secures a place in 50 best egg dishes in the world

Eggs are popularly consumed worldwide and a variety of dishes are used to whip – from breakfast to sweets. The egg is the star component in many popular dishes and egg lover can feast on dishes with various dishes. Popular food and travel guide tasteatlas have unveiled the list of top 100 egg dishes in the world. Ajitsuke Tamago from Japan is crowned as the best egg dish. India’s Masala Amelet also depicted in the list, in which the 22nd place was secured.

Ajitsuke Tamago is a traditional Japanese dish that contains soft boiled eggs soaked in chirin and soy sauce. Egg yolk should be custarded in texture. These eggs are eaten as a snack, a part of the bento or a ramp topping.

Masala Amelet is a traditional egg-based dish in India, made with eggs, onions, green chillies, coriander, chilli powder and turmeric powder. All ingredients are whisper with eggs and then the mixture is cooked in a pan (usually with butter or oil). This spicy omelette is traditionally served for breakfast with pav or bread. You can also eat it with fresh ripe bread. Many people enjoy it with tomato ketchup or coriander-mint chutney. The dish is often sold at street stalls and some vendors also include tomatoes, coriander leaves and cheese in the omelette.
