One of her recent videos went viral, in which the pop star can be seen mixing a classic soda with pickle juice and spicy jalapeño while dining at a restaurant in Texas. This has left netizens divided, as they are unable to decide whether it is a healthy drink or not.
The cocktail has caught the attention of netizens, and one Reddit user commented that it can be used to clean both the gut and the grill. Many netizens felt disgusted after watching the video as it is an unusual combination of sweet, sour and spicy, while others said they tried the cocktail and found it “surprisingly delicious”.

Health content researcher Sandra Vigeline states that this drink is not likely to cause any potential adverse effects. However, people with sensitive digestive systems may find this mixture less tolerable.
Like other fermented foods and beverages, some pickle juices contain probiotics – good bacteria that promote gut health. However, probiotics are absent in pickles made with a mixture of vinegar and salt as no fermentation occurs. Pickle juice has many health benefits including relief from muscle cramps, and it is a source of sodium and potassium. The pop star’s drink also contains Diet Coke which, despite being sugar-free, is a health risk. The sweet taste of Diet Coke is provided by an artificial sweetener called aspartame. Last year, WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified aspartame as probably carcinogenic to humans.
However, the US Food and Drug Administration refuted this assessment, saying that the studies relied upon by the IARC review had significant shortcomings. The agency said current levels of use of aspartame are considered safe by the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives.
Tea is not everyone’s cup of tea
Although Diet Coke contains no added sugars and is low in sodium, mixing it with pickle juice and jalapeno can increase the overall amount of both sodium and added sugar in the drink, which is used to make the drink. Depends on the proportion of ingredients going in. This drink can increase sodium intake and cause irritation in the gastrointestinal tract.
