Haley Bieber has revealed that she has revealed two ovarian ulcers. The 28 -year -old model married pop star Justin Bieber, showing her stomach on her Instagram stories and shared health updates. “There are currently 2 ovarian ulcers,” she wrote. “If you treat ovarian ulcers, I am there,” read the post.
While ovarian ulcers are not uncommon, experts say that many women have ovarian ulcers at some time and some people may not have very little or any discomfort, some people may cause large or broken ulcers in some people.
While Haley has not shared any details about her health, she has a history of dealing with ulcers. In 2022, the founder of the Road Skincare revealed that he had an ovarian cyst “size of an apple”, sharing a picture of himself with his shirt, pulling it, which revealed his stomach. However, she clarified that she does not have endometriosis or PCOS – both conditions that lead to cyst formation.
While Haley did not give any other information about her cyst at that time, she said it was painful and hurt her and “felt nauseous and bloated and fasted and emotional.”
What are ovarian ulcers?
An ovarian cyst is a small sac which is filled with fluid or semicolid material that is formed within or within your one or both ovaries. There are different types of ulcers, most of which are usually painless and unworthy. While they do not always cause symptoms, you probably don’t even know that you have one until your doctor finds one during the pelvic examination or pelvic ultrasound.
Ulcers are usually found in women who do not pass through menopause.
Doctors say that most ovarian ulcers are harmless and eventually go on their own, more likely to cause some types of cancer or cause complications. There are less than one percent of ovarian ulcer cancer.
Symptoms and symptoms of ovarian ulcers
While some small ulcers do not cause any symptoms and you do not even know that you have a cyst, some can be big:
- Pelvic pain or a dull back pain
- A feeling of perfection and swelling in your lower abdomen
- Pain during sex
- Painful and irregular period
- Trouble in bowel movements and urination
What is the cause of an ovarian cyst?
Doctors say that ovulation is the main cause of an ovarian cyst – a natural process that occurs during your menstrual cycle. Some other reasons include:
Abnormal cell breeding
Abnormal cell reproduction leads to formation of dermoid ulcers or cystadenomas.
endometriosis
Endometriomas – also known as chocolate ulcers – often formed on your ovaries if you have advanced endometriosis.
polycystic ovary syndrome
PCOS can form many small ulcers on your ovaries.
pelvic inflammatory disease
Severe pelvic infections can spread to your ovaries, causing ulcers.
What are the risk factors for ovarian ulcers?
While anyone with the ovary can develop an ovarian cyst, your possibility increases:
age
Ovarian ulcers are more common if you do not pass through menopause
Pregnancy condition
Doctors say that you are more likely to have cysts during pregnancy
History
If you have one first
medical conditions
If you have endometriosis, PCOS, or another hormone disorder, then you have more likely to get an ovarian cyst.
Fertility medicine
If you are taking medicines to help with ovulation, you can get ulcers.
