Jog Fallsone of KarnatakaThe most famous tourist destination will temporarily close its gates to visitors from January 1, 2025, to March 15, 2025, to facilitate construction work aimed at improving visitor facilities. The announcement was made by the Deputy Commissioner of Shivamogga, who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Jog Management Authority.
The decision to stop public access to the iconic waterfall stems from the need to expedite civil works at the site. As one of the busiest tourist attractions in the area, the site sees heavy amounts of traffic, which can disrupt large-scale construction activities. To address this, the Jog Management Authority has taken steps to close the entry gate, allowing the work to proceed uninterrupted and meet the project deadline.
